When you think of Manchester United winger Nani there is probably not much positivity that comes to mind. With all the hype and build up that came with his signing many moons ago – he was meant to be the next Cristiano Ronaldo, wasn’t he? – it now seems that his tenure at Manchester United could be over. The Expressare reporting that he may be used as a makeweight for Sporting midfield William Carvalho, which in my eyes is a perfect deal.
Nani is an explosive player who loves to run at people, but more often than not it is he who comes out worse. He floats in and out of game, like most wingers, but seems to have lost that spark which saw him win United points on his own in the past.
Carvalho is a whole different kettle of fish. The 21-year-old is a powerful player who sits just in front of the back four and protects his side with his pace and agility.
He is a physical presence in the middle and feeds off the scraps, allowing him to spray the ball to the wings to start his own attack. He’s a reliable player who is yet to see his best on the football pitch, which is the polar opposite of Nani.
For me, if there was any chance of this happening than David Moyes needs to do all he can to make it go through. I think you may agree when you see him play.
