United ace tells potential targets there is nowhere better

Manchester United favourite Rio Ferdinand has spoken out about the prospect of being joined at the club by former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas and Borussia Dortmund goal-gobbler Robert Lewandowski. The Daily Mail have published somewhat of an invitation from the former England captain urging the pair to make the switch to Old Trafford in the summer and suggested that there is no better opportunity to grow as a player.

David Moyes is trying to mould his squad for his first season in charge of the championsand both Fabregas and Lewandowski have been heavily linked with a move to the Reds, who are favourites for the title in the new season with sports.bwin.com/en/football Speaking with the Sun, Ferdinand discussed his opinion on the matter: “If United come in for you, you take it. Even if you are a great player you become a better one at this club. Cristiano Ronaldo became the best player in the world having come from Sporting Lisbon.

“The likes of Ryan Giggs, Roy Keane, David Beckham, Andy Cole all became great players at United. With this platform you cannot believe anyone would ever turn it down.

“If you have ambition your aim has to be to make a name for yourself at a top club. As a player aged between say 23 and 27 that is what you should be looking at. It shows you are going somewhere and want to win trophies.”

With the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson peoples’ confidence in the Red Devils retaining their league title but should either of these signings, or even both, then they would surely they will be nailed on favourites to get their grubby mitts on the trophy.
