Erik Ten Hag has claimed that Ajax are interested in signing former player Daley Blind from Manchester United after speaking to De Telegraaf (h/t Metro).
Blind had joined United from the Dutch giants in 2014 under Louis van Gaal but since then, he has seen himself drop down the pecking order during Jose Mourinho’s tenure.
Ten Hag praised Blind’s experience of playing not only in the Premier League but also for the national side and added that the Dutch giants are doing all they can to bring the defender back home.
“He is a stable personality. Just like the arrival of Dusan Tadic, this also counts as a considerable effort of the club. We are doing everything, but it also depends on other parties.”
However, Ten Hag was quick to add that the club would not be able to sign Boca Juniors defender Lisandro Magallan and that they would choose either Blind or Magallan.
“He [Magallan] is still in the picture, but whether he actually arrives is still unclear.
“It will be either one of Magallan or Blind. Both of them do not seem realistic.”
Blind still has another 12 months left on his contract after United extended his deal for another year but he is expected to leave Old Trafford due to a lack of playing time under Mourinho.

The Dutchman could have been a decent squad player for us next season but it seems like he is one of the few players that will be sold, possibly to bring in new recruits at Old Trafford this season.
