Jose Mourinho is well known for his organized and structured defense. Last season under Louis Van Gaal we saw a more dynamic approach to defending which is probably not going to suit the Portuguese.
According to reports from Spain, particularly Sport, Mourinho is willing to let go of Daley Blind in the summer. Barcelona are said to be interested in the player and after news that Dani Alves and Javier Mascherano are leaving the Catalan clubs are ready to swoop in for the Dutchman with a £14 million.
Blind was a favorite player under Louis Van Gaal’s management, but is often considered not physical enough for English Premier League. He has played 84 games over the course of two seasons, but if Jose Mourinho brings in his choice of defenders then is sure to fall down the pecking order. Mourinho is reported to be ready to keep the young attack line, but will most likely recruit new defenders.
