Manchester United have completed their squad overhaul for the 2023-24 season. Under the leadership of Erik ten Hag, the club has undergone significant changes during his second summer in charge, including a multitude of incoming and outgoing player movements.

This page provides a list of all the confirmed transfer activities, including arrivals, departures, loans, releases, and youth players’ moves, now that the transfer window has closed.

Incomings:

Mount’s transfer to United was officially confirmed by the club on July 5.

Onana joined United and secured a five-year deal, making him the team’s new top-choice goalkeeper, with the announcement coming on July 20.

Hojlund’s arrival as a new striker at United was confirmed, and he was introduced at Old Trafford on August 5.

Announcements on the deadline day [September 1]:

  • Bayindir also completed his transfer from Fenerbahce, with the announcement being made on the deadline day.
  • The Red Devils announced the loan signing of Reguilon from Tottenham.
  • Evans signed a one-year contract with the club on deadline day.
  • Amrabat signed a loan agreement with Fiorentina.

Outgoings:

As provided in the table above, several youngsters made their way out of the club as Ten Hag was strict with his outgoings. He preferred to sell the Academy players who were surplus to requirements and couldn’t make their mark on the team.

De Gea and Jones were the senior players to leave Old Trafford for free, both departing after spending 12 years at the club.

Out of all these transfers, Elanga and Henderson’s sales proved to be profitable, as they both brought in £15m for Man United. Fred followed suit as he was sold to Fenerbahce for a decent sum of £13m.

List of players released for free:

  1. Jones
  2. Galbraith
  3. Bernard
  4. Tuanzebe
  5. Wellens
  6. Hanbury
  7. Norkett
  8. De Gea

Furthermore, the loan deals for Wout Weghorst and Marcel Sabitzer, both of whom were on loan at United, have come to an end. Both players have now returned to the Bundesliga.

Academy signings:

Man United have made several youth signings, including the signing of 16-year-old left-back Harry Amass from Watford’s academy.

Additionally, midfielders Tyler Fletcher and Jack Fletcher, both from City’s academy, have also joined the club.
