Manchester United were so wasteful at home against Wolves.
Manchester United became just the third team to fail to beat Wolves this season, held to an embarrassing 1-1 draw at Old Trafford against one of the worst teams in Premier League history. Joshua Zirkzee’s deflected effort gave United the lead, but Ladislav Krejci’s header right before half-time earned Wolves their third point of the campaign.
Here are the player ratings for Manchester United’s players:
Senne Lammens – 7.5/10
United’s best player, which says everything about the performance against a struggling Wolves side. Made a brilliant stop with his legs to deny Hugo Bueno in the first half. Couldn’t get across in time to reach Krejci’s equaliser but produced an excellent double save in the second to keep United level, first with his right hand and then foiling the follow-up attempt.
Ayden Heaven – 7/10
Another accomplished showing from the youngster. Played a big role in the goal, winning the ball high up and breaking into the danger area before Zirkzee fired home. Combined well with Lisandro Martinez once again and defended resolutely. The Old Trafford crowd booed his withdrawal, which speaks volumes.
Lisandro Martinez – 6/10
A comedown from his triumphant return against Newcastle. Couldn’t influence the game from deep and didn’t organise the defence properly when Wolves levelled. Showcased his passing range through diagonal balls and over-the-top deliveries, but that wasn’t enough.
Luke Shaw – 6/10
Hit the crossbar with a third-minute corner, which was the highlight of his evening. Solid defensively but his deliveries from set pieces were disappointing throughout.
Diogo Dalot – 6/10
Weaker when asked to play as a wing-back. Couldn’t create much going forward and looked uncomfortable in the role. Defended diligently enough but offered little attacking threat.
Manuel Ugarte – 5/10
Sloppy in possession throughout. Only underlined why United want and need to sign a proper holding midfielder in January. Failed to control the midfield against a team that had lost 12 straight matches.
Casemiro – 5/10
His passing was really poor and he couldn’t offer the usual power and security. Horribly frustrating moment when he ran slowly over the halfway line in the 85th minute and was tackled. With so many players missing, United needed the experienced heads like the Brazilian to help control the game.
Patrick Dorgu – 5/10
Back down to earth after ravaging Newcastle and much less dangerous back on the left. To make matters worse, he left Krejci unmarked at the crucial moment for Wolves’ equaliser. Thought he’d struck a late winner, only for it to be ruled out for offside.
Matheus Cunha – 5/10
Frustratingly ineffective against his former club, similar to his performance earlier this season at Molineux (especially in the first half). Bright start but faded like his team.
Benjamin Sesko – 4/10

Very bright at the start and could have had a hat-trick in the first half. Should have done better with a big chance, heading the simplest of opportunities straight at Jose Sa. His wastefulness is becoming a real concern and all his efforts in the second half lacked potency.
Joshua Zirkzee – 6/10
His deflected shot led to the opening goal in 27 minutes, but it owed a lot to the deflection and Heaven’s dribbling skills. It was the only positive thing he did. His botched clearance helped Wolves’ equaliser and he was then brutally taken off at half-time for tactical reasons.
Substitutes:
Jack Fletcher – 5/10
Looked out of place, but it’s Amorim’s fault for throwing him in at the deep end against a side that had picked up only two points out of a possible 54 before kick-off.
Leny Yoro – 6/10
Brought a bit more urgency to the play after coming on.
Bendito Mantato – 5/10
A difficult time to make his debut and his nerves showed as he mishit a cross into the Stretford End.
