Borussia Dortmund could sanction January exit for Manchester United target Jobe Bellingham
Manchester United see themselves presented with a favourable development in their interest in Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jobe Bellingham. The 20-year-old England international could become available as soon as the January transfer window, which would help significantly boost the team’s engine for the second half of the season.
That is as per Caught Offside. The other Bellingham’s energetic and versatile style, often likened to that of Frank Lampard, makes him an attractive prospect for a team seeking greater dynamism and creativity in central positions.
His time at Dortmund has remained marked by underutilisation since his arrival from Sunderland. He has managed just two starts in the Bundesliga this campaign. Regular match exposure is essential for a player of his calibre, and the lack thereof has evidently caused discontent. Tensions reportedly reached a head with an altercation involving his father, Mark Bellingham, and Dortmund’s sporting director, Sebastian Kehl. That is why the likelihood of a mid-season exit remains at a peak, allowing a fresh start for all involved parties.

Facilitating a departure, albeit on loan, might also help ease things. United, obviously, get to enjoy the services of a player with loads of potential. Dortmund can focus better on squad management while doing away with what caused any altercations. If things allow, the German club can also include a buy-clause, considering his high stock value, with a little bit of that attributed to the surname as well.
Crystal Palace pose the most threat in this pursuit. They have kept a watchful eye on Bellingham’s situation. Their involvement could complicate matters, especially in terms of inflating any potential deal.
While going big on attacking players in the summer window has brought along mild levels of success, the engine also needs an overhaul, especially with an ageing midfield. A young player, with potential, like Jobe might help distribute the workload evenly while he learns from the likes of Casemiro and Bruno, among others.

If the move happens, it would show a proactive rebuild and bring optimism to a struggling campaign. Bellingham’s arrival could be key to rebuilding the squad and growing towards continued success.
