Noussair Mazraoui in contention to maker Manchester United return vs Liverpool
There is a possibility that Manchester United could welcome back Noussair Mazraoui for this weekend’s Premier League clash against Liverpool at Anfield Stadium.
The Moroccan international has been on the sidelines since that game against Chelsea, which Ruben Amorim & Co. won on a 2-1 scoreline earlier this season. But reports indicate that the Manchester Reds might have him back with the squad, with the decision to be made late given that he had medical tests this week.
United will be hopeful as Noussair Mazraoui is set to return from injury

As reported by Samuel Luckhurst of The Sun, Mazraoui finished fitness tests at Carrington this week. There are expectations that he may get the green light to be in the matchday squad that travels to L4.

While a starting suit will quite depend on how he is feeling on the fitness side of things. And whether United are willing to risk him straightaway.
Mazraoui was playing in that right wing-back role against the West Londoners before his injury. But with Amad impressing there against Sunderland and Dalot in the dock, Mazraoui could be eased in.
Mazraoui has been among the more reliable players at Old Trafford since arriving from Bayern Munich. He played 57 times in all competitions last season. And since Amorim took over the reins from Erik ten Hag last November, Mazraoui is yet to nail down a consistent spot in the eleven. But given that Lisandro Martinez is returning from a long-term injury and is still a bit touch and go before being fully fit and how Patrick Dorgu has been struggling in that left wing-back position in recent weeks, having him back can boost the defensive line more for United.

Martinez is also said to be returning to full training at Carrington. But this weekend’s Liverpool game will be a tad too soon for him.
Thinking about the Liverpool game, it is highly unlikely that Amorim starts the former Bayern Munich full-back. Amorim will probably go ahead with Dorgu in that left wing-back role. Alternatively, he can also put in Dalot on the left and trust Amad on that right wing back channel.
But even from the bench, he can have a massive impact for Manchester United.
