Juventus are eyeing a double swoop for Manchester United duo Jadon Sancho and Rasmus Hojlund
Juventus are actively working on a double raid of Manchester United, with talks ongoing for Jadon Sancho and fresh interest emerging in Rasmus Hojlund, following complications in their bid for Randal Kolo Muani.
United are undergoing a significant transition under Ruben Amorim, and while much of the focus has been on incoming names like Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, attention is now shifting to trimming the squad and freeing up crucial funds.
Jadon Sancho has been one of the key names on United’s outgoing list this summer. Having been frozen out of first-team training as part of the so-called “bomb squad” alongside Antony, Tyrell Malacia, Marcus Rashford, and Alejandro Garnacho, Sancho’s time at Old Trafford appears to be up.
Talks with Juventus have progressed throughout July, with the Bianconeri’s new general manager Damien Comolli leading negotiations. United are now willing to accept a reduced fee, potentially under £20 million, just to get the deal over the line.
However, while the transfer fee is no longer a major hurdle, Sancho’s wage demands remain the sticking point. Juventus are optimistic, but the situation hinges on the player agreeing to revised personal terms.

Juventus enquire about Hojlund amid Kolo Muani delay
What makes the current negotiations even more intriguing is Juventus’ newfound interest in Rasmus Hojlund. According to an exclusive by United in Focus, the Italian side are struggling to push through a deal for Randal Kolo Muani and have now turned their attention to the Danish striker, who is open to a return to Serie A.
United, for their part, are open to moving Hojlund on this summer. Amorim has made it clear that he wants a new striker to lead the line, and with Cunha and Mbeumo already in, there is no guaranteed starting role for Hojlund next season.
Hojlund joined United from Atalanta just last year for £64 million, but Juventus are only willing to proceed if the Red Devils accept a significant loss on the original fee. United may be forced to accept an offer in the region of half the original outlay, a tough pill to swallow, but perhaps a necessary one for the rebuild.

Time for ruthless decisions at United
From a Manchester United perspective, a double sale of Sancho and Hojlund could be a smart, if bold, move. Neither player is part of Amorim’s long-term plan, and both are occupying valuable wages and squad space. Sancho’s situation has long been untenable, and Hojlund, while promising, may simply not fit the direction this new-look United side is taking.
If Juventus are willing to take both off our hands, the club should seriously consider it. Freeing up funds and wages will be essential if we’re to bring in a genuine number nine and address other key areas in the squad.
With the club yet to complete a major outgoing deal this summer, this double swoop could be the catalyst United need to unlock the rest of their transfer business. Sometimes, the cleanest break is the most productive one, and for United, this could be exactly that.
