Saudi Pro League clubs Al-Qadsiyah, Al-Ittihad, and Al-Hilal are ready to battle to sign controversial Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana. Onana has struggled to establish himself as a worthy successor to the legendary goalkeeper David De Gea at the club.
The Cameroonian international succeeded De Gea in the summer of 2023 when Erik ten Hag signed him from Inter Milan. The 29-year-old shot-stopper cost United £47.2m and created a buzz of excitement as the goalkeeping position has a positive history.
Furthermore, the Cameroon goalkeeper joined the Red Devils after taking Inter to the Champions League final in the previous season. However, things fell apart immediately for Onana, as he made several high-profile errors which cost United immensely throughout the season.

Things have not improved for Onana under the new manager, Ruben Amorim, as United finished 15th in the Premier League. We All Follow United covered a report suggesting that United were ready to give Onana another chance by keeping him.
The recent reports revealed that United want around £30m for Onana, accepting over a £17m loss if the exit happens. According to the Manchester Evening News, three Saudi clubs, Al-Qadsiyah, Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal, want Onana during the current summer window.
United are facing a lot of financial pressure as they intend to back Amorim to kickstart his project next season. Amorim failed to install his tactical philosophy within the current United squad and needs players who suit his desired profile.
If United can replace Onana for a justified price while selling him, they cannot afford to think twice about it. The goalkeeping position plays a critical role, as a reliable goalkeeper allows the outfield players to act confidently going forward.
