Manchester United are ready to accelerate Alejandro Garnacho exit to boost their summer transfer spending
Manchester United have had a poor domestic campaign and currently sit 15th in the Premier League table, but have the chance to make it to the Champions League after reaching the Europa League final this week. If they beat Tottenham Hotspur in the final and make it to the Champions League, they will get a boost to their summer transfer kitty.
The Red Devils’ attack is likely to be strengthened in the summer, with INEOS eyeing a ruthless goalscorer who will be an upgrade on both Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund. They are also interested in signing Wolverhampton Wanderers star Matheus Cunha to not only improve the productivity in front of goal but also ease the creative burden off Bruno Fernandes’ shoulders.
Simultaneously, INEOS are also planning to offload players who do not fit into Ruben Amorim’s system. The likes of Christian Eriksen, Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof will leave on a free transfer at the end of the season, while there is speculation surrounding the future of certain players. And one of them is Alejandro Garnacho.

According to an exclusive report from GIVEMESPORT, Manchester United are set to contact Napoli regarding their interest in signing Alejandro Garnacho. If there is a possibility to move him on, they are continuing to tilt towards that being the case. The Red Devils want to make early progress with transfer business this summer, and the departure of the Argentina international would boost their kitty, as Amorim eyes an overhaul.
Napoli held a concrete interest in Alejandro Garnacho during the January transfer window. In fact, the Serie A side had a £45m bid rejected for him, while it was also reported that Chelsea would revive their interest in the young attacker after holding talks with his representatives.
Garnacho has endured an up-and-down season at Old Trafford. The Argentine winger, who recently claimed he is happy at the club amid exit speculation, was poor in United’s 4-1 win over Athletic Bilbao in the second leg of the Europa League semis. The 20-year-old showed his lack of clinical edge when he squandered an early one-on-one, whereby he opted to chip the Bilbao goalkeeper and watched his effort go wide.

The aforementioned report adds that Napoli’s interest in the player has not gone away, and they would be open to doing business with United, provided the terms of a deal are feasible.
Selling Garnacho would result in pure profit in the club’s books and create more room for manoeuvre around the Profit and Sustainability (PSR) laws. The club has to comply with the financial regulations this summer, and given that the Madrid-born talent does not really fit into Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 system, INEOS may be left with no option but to sell him.
