Man United Predicted Lineup vs Wolves; Will Bruno Fernandes play?

Manchester United will get back into their Premier League groove following their Europa League highs against Lyon in the midweek, and this weekend they will host Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford. And Ruben Amorim hinted that he would be playing a rather younger side this weekend, given how the majority of his squad played for the better part of 120 minutes in the midweek.

Judging by his words, it is unlikely for Bruno Fernandes to be a part of it from the get-go. But then again, this could be an opportunity to start some academy players and other players who lack minutes under their belt this season.

Going into the predicted lineup, this is how the hosts can take the field from the start this weekend:

Goalkeeper: Andre Onana

After being dropped in the last PL game, the Cameroonian should return for the hosts and take the position in goal again. These games could help him develop the confidence that he really needs before going into high-stakes UEL knockout fixtures.

Defenders: Noussair Mazraoui, Harry Maguire, Leny Yoro

Going into the back three, there are multiple injury concerns that the hosts face in the position, with Lisandro Martinez having been sidelined with a long-term injury, while winter signing Ayden Heaven also joined the treatment room. Victor Lindelof will face a late fitness test to start against Wolves tomorrow, but if the Swede isn’t able to make it, then the hosts should name a back three of Noussair Mazraoui, Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro.

We have seen how Larsen is in spectacular form of late, and the aerial presence of Harry Maguire will come in handy for the hosts, while Yoro will have to back the spaces that the former leaves behind while trying to keep his marker at bay.

Wingbacks: Jaydan Kamason, Harry Amass

Going to wing backs, Harry Amass should be all set to start in the left wing back against Wolves, given how Patrick Dorgu played for about a hundred minutes against Lyon in the midweek. Amass is a highly regarded talent known for his aggressiveness in going into challenges. He is not like Dorgu in terms of his push to go forward; he would rather manage going into the final third rather more smartly depending on sequences.

Jaydan Kamason could take up Dalot’s place in the right wing-back role. He could be another of young players slotting into the squad at Old Trafford. He is renowned for his pace and athleticism which could come in critical against a compact Wolves side.

Midfielders: Manuel Ugarte, Mason Mount

In the midfield, Manuel Ugarte is expected to start in the base role with Mason Mount accompanying him to form a pivot. Mount has not had a lot of opportunities this season, and this should be an ideal time for the former Chelsea midfielder to start putting in some exemplary performances.

Forwards: Alejandro Garnacho, Chido Obi-Martin, Cristian Eriksen

Up ahead, Alejandro Garnacho should take up the spot on the right wing with Cristian Eriksen accompanying him in more of an inverted role. The latter will be expected to bring in his shooting and creating prowess to the side (and fill in for Bruno, who deserves some rest).

In the striking role, with Zirkzee out for the season, Amorim would be cautious about Rasmus Hojlund, especially given how he has had injury problems of his own. And Arsenal Hale End academy graduate Chido Obi-Martin should be in line to start tomorrow.
