Manchester United wants Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior and are willing to spend a massive €200 million next summer. Whenever the summer draws near, insurmountable rumours surround United and it is safe to say that no fan believes this rumour.
However, when it comes to unfathomable surprises, United tend to pull some major transfers even if those players disappoint eventually. The Red Devils have signed the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Angel Di Maria and Casemiro, showcasing their immense purchase power.
At the same time, most of the high-profile signings in the recent past have failed to prove themselves at United. That continuous failure is something the Red Devils cannot afford to repeat itself as they are under severe financial pressure.
United have many surplus players, who are earning far more than deserve and selling them correctly will improve the budget. Some of these players have the potential to secure a big transfer move due to their reputation which Saudi Pro League kind of financial superpowers desire.
According to Fichajes, United want Real star Vinicius and are willing to spend €200 million to sign him next summer. The Red Devils are facing a crisis in their attacking department, lacking a leader up front to contribute goals regularly.
At the same time, while Vinicius has the quality and reputation as one of the best attackers in Europe, his goals and assists contributions are still too infrequent. The Brazilian has played a pivotal role for the Spanish giant but his style of play makes him a luxury.
Apart from that, Vinicius’ wages and the alleged price tag are too big of a risk to take. The attacking department is not the only place where United needs recruitment, making a transfer of this level very unlikely.
