Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim refuses to reveal the future of Antony amid his success at Real Betis this season. Antony joined Real Betis in a loan deal at the latter stages of the January transfer window after first-team stagnation.
The Brazil international failed to impress the new boss, who succeeded Erik ten Hag in the middle of the season. Antony joined United from Ajax under Ten Hag for a massive valuation of £81.3m which the Brazilian failed to justify.
United struggled to rejuvenate themselves under Ten Hag despite their FA Cup triumph last season, with many key players failing. Under Amorim, the trend has continued but the change in tactical philosophy has played a mitigating factor for the boss.

Amorim allowed many big players to leave on loan deals during January, which also included the 25-year-old during the time. However, Antony has delivered impressive performances for his Spanish side since joining them, rejuvenating his career in the La Liga.
Speaking in the pre-match press conference (via Fabrizio Romano’s X account), Amorim refuses to reveal his future plan at United which also involves Antony amid his success with Betis. He said:
“Antony to return? I’m planning the future but I don’t want to talk about the future in this moment”. I just want to focus on the games”.
Antony has scored four goals and provided four assists from 12 games for Real Betis in all competitions this season. The 25-year-old has played a pivotal role in their UEFA Conference League victory over Vitoria Guimaraes. Furthermore, he has played a similarly crucial match-winning performance against Real Sociedad and Getafe in the La Liga.
The Brazil international has also delivered influential performances against the likes of Sevilla and Real Madrid to help Betis. Betis have climbed to the sixth place in the La Liga due to their recent winning form.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils remain 13th in the Premier League after a poor start from Amorim as their new boss. Given the financial trouble that United faces, a rejuvenated Antony could save them a lot of risk in the upcoming summer window.
