Manchester United wide-forward flies back to England from International duty with injury problem

Manchester United have endured a difficult start to the 2024/25 campaign, and following their recent draw against Aston Villa last weekend, the possible sack hangs on Erik ten Hag‘s head. However, reportedly the Dutch manager is set to keep his job at Old Trafford for now, although he would be expected to iron out the mistakes in the ongoing international break and get better at Brentford when the Manchester Reds resume Premier League duties.

And for that to happen, Erik ten Hag would be hoping for his players to return unscratched; however, the players are falling like bees in the international break, and that continues as Amad Diallo has returned back to Carrington owing to injury problems.

More injury woes for Ten Hag’s squad as Diallo returns

Manchester United forward could be off to Watford during the summer transfer window.
Amad Diallo returns to United with injury

United’s wide-forward was scheduled to line up for Ivory Coast in their two games against Sierra Leone over the next week. However, the 22-year-old is said to have withdrawn from Ivory Coast’s squad on injury grounds and has already flown back to England, per Sport Ivoire.

The Manchester Reds medical staff are keen to examine the former Atalanta forward, and Ivory Coast have chosen not to name a replacement for Diallo.

The 22-year-old has picked up six caps for Ivory Coast and has scored one goal for his country.

For United, the staff and supporters would be hoping that the injury is not too serious and he is ready when Erik ten Hag’s men lineup against Brentford.

Diallo will add to the crowd of players in United’s treatment room as both Noussair Mazraoui and Kobbie Mainoo have pulled out of their respective national team squads while Alejandro Garnacho nurses a knock on his knee. Harry Maguire also exited Villa Park in protective boots last weekend.
