Manchester United have faced an intense transfer summer with a lot of incomings and outgoings to rectify their past issues. The Red Devils have backed manager Erik ten Hag with several high-profile signings in every department to bolster their squad.
At the same time, United have allowed the departure of many fringe players to maintain the finances of the club. The Red Devils faced issues with the financial fair play rules last summer that impeded their activities in the market.
However, United are facing a peculiar situation with Jadon Sancho as he failed to make any match appearances so far. The Englishman patched things up with Ten Hag after their relationship deteriorated last season due to a prolonged off-field drama.
Sancho featured during the pre-season and also played as a false nine with the manager implying a new role for the 24-year-old. Nevertheless, Ten Hag changed his decision with Sancho out for the matchday squad in the first two Premier League games.
Man United have instead used Bruno Fernandes and Mason Mount in the attacking midfield and false nine roles so far. The Red Devils have healthy competition in the wings with Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Amad Diallo and Antony available.
According to Fabrizio Romano (via X), Chelsea have submitted an official bid for Sancho to secure a loan deal. The reported terms are similar to the ones offered by Juventus with a higher total package.

Understand it’s initial loan proposal, similar to terms offered by Juventus but total package higher.

United would have preferred a permanent deal but no club is ready to match the valuation that they have put. It is highly likely that United would prefer a loan deal with Juventus over Chelsea who are their direct competition.

The Red Devils cannot afford to help their rivals by loaning a player that they signed for £73 million. With the deadline day drawing near, United need to make a decision quickly while making sure it is mutually beneficial.
