Manchester United are monitoring chances to sign Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan
Manchester United are still monitoring the chances of signing Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan. The Dutch international is not interested in a contract extension with Inter Milan in the summer. United want to complete the signing with a swap deal for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who is currently linked with West Ham for a move, per Manchester Evening News.
Dumfries has been exceptional in recent years for both the club and country with his consistent performances. The 28-year-old midfielder has also done a decent job for the Holland national team in Euro 2024. The midfielder has played five out of six matches for Ronald Koeman’s side in the Euro Championship and has also played a vital part in carrying the team into the semifinals.
The experienced midfielder joined the Italian club in 2021 following his stint with PSV Eindhoven. The Dutchman has scored 11 goals along with 20 assists for the Italian club in three years. Dumfries has also proved his ability as a full-back for both the club and country in the past years. He is currently entering his final 12 months with Inter Milan and the player is set to leave the club in the summer for new challenges.
Multiple clubs across Europe, along with Chelsea, are keen on signing the player from the Serie A club. According to David Ornstein, the Dutchman has no intention to sign a new contract with Inter in the summer.
