Manchester United are exploring an option to loan Mason Greenwood out next season
As per Daily Mail (h/t Metro), Manchester United are looking to send Mason Greenwood on loan next season as the internal investigation continues.
Greenwood has not played for United since the middle of last season when he was arrested for an attempted rape and related inappropriate behaviour with his partner. The Englishman was relieved of all the charges this February but United are conducting an internal investigation.
The Red Devils are considering sending him on loan for the entirety of next season, with clubs from Turkey, Italy and Spain keen on signing him. None of the Premier League clubs are interested.
It is baffling to know that the club haven’t yet ripped up the player’s contract. Conducting an investigation is not a bad option, but it should have been done quicker and the decision to terminate his contract should be a unanimous one.
The possibility of sending him on loan for next season means that they think he could potentially play a part in the team beyond the 2023/24 campaign, which is simply unacceptable.
No player, irrespective of his age and stature in the game, should be allowed to continue earning money from an organisation he disrespected by behaving like a bad person.
Moving away from that, United should be active in the transfer market to sign top players. Erik ten Hag deserves to get the backing so that he can build a squad that can challenge for a league title now.

Will the takeover saga bring some turmoil in how the club hierarchy would operate in the market? Possibly so. Hence, it would be nice if that problem is resolved soon, or if the Glazers release the funds to sign the players regardless of their future at the club.
