Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho to get Argentina debut by Lionel Scaloni
Argentina boss Lionel Scaloni wants to give Alejandro Garnacho his national team debut during the upcoming friendlies against Australia and Indonesia.
The World Cup-winning manager wants to take a look at some of the players who are with the squad for the first time.
Garnacho, who made his United debut earlier in the season, is now set to play some minutes for the world champions.

Here’s what his national team boss said when asked about giving new players an opportunity in the friendly games (h/t Manchester Evening News):
“The idea is for Garnacho to play, to enjoy the minutes and to see how he does with his team mates. The expectation is to see these guys who are coming for the first time. Give them time, minutes.”
The 18-year-old, although not a regular starter under Erik ten Hag, has tended to make a positive impact off the bench on most occasions. Even in the FA Cup final, he came on and caused a lot of problems for the Manchester City defence.
Despite all that, five goals and five assists in 34 appearances (most of it from the bench) are great returns from the youngster.

It would be great for his confidence and morale to play some minutes for an Argentine side that is full of superstars and recent World Cup winners.
Garnacho has the talent to do well on the international stage. The hope is that Scaloni plays him in his favoured left-wing position and watches him trouble opposition defences.
After these friendlies, the teenager must take a break and come back refreshed for the pre-season. If he continues the good work, then Ten Hag may have no choice but to give him more game time next season.
