Erik ten Hag holds calls with Manchester United target and Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund
Atalanta star Rasmus Hojlund, who has been linked with Manchester United, has held multiple video calls with Erik ten Hag, according to the Manchester Evening News.
The Dutch manager is represented by SEG International. As things stand, the same agency is now trying to acquire the Denmark international as one of their clients.
At the moment, the Old Trafford side have a feeling that Tottenham Hotspur will not part ways with Harry Kane. To that end, the 20-year-old is seen as someone who could be easily pursued in the upcoming transfer window.

Atalanta signed Hojlund last summer from Sturm Graz. The youngster has immediately become an influential player at the Bergamo-based club.
In the current campaign, the striker has established himself in La Dea’s starting lineup. He has made 33 appearances in all competitions for Gian Piero Gasperini’s team, scoring nine goals and providing four assists.
The 20-year-old’s current contract runs until June 2027. But while the Danish national made his way to the Serie A outfit just recently, their failure to make it to the Champions League could make negotiations smoother.

United have had to rely on Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst as the only two natural strikers in the squad over the last few months. Erik ten Hag has also been using Marcus Rashford out of position at times.
The former AS Monaco star has been on the sidelines for most of the season. He is set to miss the FA Cup final against Manchester City due to a knock. On the other hand, the Holland international is set to return to Burnley when his loan spell expires at the end of the campaign.

Therefore, we could evidently do with a player like Hojlund in our ranks. The Danish national is still young and has shown a lot of potential during his short spell in Italy. But will the video calls from Ten Hag translate to a concrete pursuit from the Red Devils? Only time will tell.
