Ajax Amsterdam forward Mohammed Kudus tipped for summer transfer amidst Manchester United links
Jennifer Mendelewitsch, the agent of Ajax Amsterdam star Mohammed Kudus, feels it is the right for the forward’s transfer amidst links to Manchester United.
Erik ten Hag is interested in acquiring the services of the 22-year-old ahead of next summer. The Ghana international is on a list of alternative options for the Red Devils, with Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane the top target.
Speaking to De Telgraaf (h/t Manchester Evening News), Mendelewitsch revealed that there is a ton of interest in Kudus. The forward’s representative would like to see him part ways with the Eredivisie outfit in the coming months.
“I think it is best for both Ajax and Mohammed that he makes a transfer now. Now is the right time. He has ignored a proposal to extend his contract until the summer of 2026. What I can say is that after the World Cup and this season there is a lot of interest in Kudus.”
Ajax signed the Ghanaian in the summer of 2020. Initially, the versatile attacker played a bit-part role in Ten Hag’s plans in Amsterdam. He was mostly used as a rotational player by the Dutch manager.
However, since the gaffer made his way to United at the end of the previous campaign, the 22-year-old’s influence at the Eredivisie outfit has grown.
Kudus is now Ajax’s talisman. In
