Premier League rivals West Ham United have ‘set their sights’ on Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka ahead of next summer, according to the Daily Mail (h/t Manchester Evening News).

The Hammers are looking to acquire the right-back’s services in the upcoming transfer window. But it remains to be seen whether the Irons will be successful in their pursuit of the English national.

As things stand, the 25-year-old has made a place for himself in Erik ten Hag’s plans. But the Old Trafford side are in talks to sign Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen in the coming months.

Also, the Red Devils are working to tie Diogo Dalot down to a new contract. The Portugal international has been the Dutch manager’s first choice on the right-hand side of the defence this season.

Thus, it would not be a surprise to see Wan-Bissaka part ways with United next summer. He could leave to avoid losing game time in the upcoming campaign.

The English national signed for the Red Devils in the summer of 2019 from Crystal Palace. Over the years under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the right-back had been one of the first names on our team sheet.

However, the Norwegian head coach’s departure changed the defender’s prospects at the Old Trafford side. Subsequently, since then, Dalot’s influence in the team has grown.

But the Portuguese has seen a dip in form since the 2022 World Cup. As a result, Wan-Bissaka has been handed a lot of opportunities in recent weeks and has done well with them.

However, it remains to be seen whether Ten Hag will continue to trust the English national going forward as well. Will West Ham bolster their right-back position with the 25-year-old? Only time will tell.
