Premier League rivals Chelsea have not made an €80 million offer to sign Manchester United target and Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano on Twitter.

While the Blues are monitoring the Serbia international, they have not put in an official bid yet to acquire his services. The Stamford Bridge side have the forward on their long list of appreciated strikers.

The Red Devils also have the 23-year-old on their radar. Apart from the two English top-flight teams, Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are also in the race for his signature.

Vlahovic signed for the Old Lady in January 2022 from Fiorentina. The Serbian has had a mixed spell at the Bianconeri so far. However, the Serie A giants are yet to make a decision regarding his future.

Napoli have run away with the league this season. However, Massimiliano Allegri has done well to ensure that Juventus have a chance of finishing in the top four. But that has been without their 23-year-old striker being able to find the back of the net consistently.

Chelsea have struggled up front in the current campaign. Despite their heavy investment over the last two transfer windows, the Blues have failed to bring in someone to help them score goals.

As for United, Erik ten Hag only has Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst as the only two natural number nines at his disposal. They have both been underwhelming this season.

The former AS Monaco star has been mostly on the sidelines since the Dutch manager’s arrival. On the other hand, the Burnley loanee has been unable to light up the Theatre of Dreams over the last few months.

Therefore, we could evidently do with a prolific striker in our ranks. But Vlahovic has not lived up to the billing at Juventus. Thus, will the Old Trafford side challenge Chelsea in a possible pursuit for the Serbian? Only time will tell.
