25-year-old French international to turn down potential Manchester United summer switch

Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani to ‘turn down’ Manchester United interest

Randal Kolo Muani, who plays for Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt, is set to ‘turn down’ interest from Manchester United, according to Sport 1 (h/t Manchester Evening News).

The 24-year-old has caught a lot of people’s attention in the current campaign. He is attracting the eyes of some of Europe’s biggest teams. As a result, he is expected to leave Die Adler in the coming months.

Erik ten Hag has Tottenham Hotspur talisman Harry Kane at the top of his list ahead of next summer. However, the France international is one of the Red Devils’ alternatives, alongside Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and SL Benfica youngster Goncalo Ramos.

Kolo Muani signed for Frankfurt last summer as a free agent. The striker still has four years left on his existing deal. Premier League rivals Liverpool and Bayern Munich also have the French national on their radar.

While two English top-flight giants in United and the Merseysiders are looking to acquire the 24-year-old’s services, he prefers the Bavarians. As such, the forward wants to remain in Germany.

In the current campaign, Kolo Muani has established himself as a phenomenal threat in front of goal. In 43 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga outfit, the French national has found the back of the net 22 times and has provided 15 assists.

Erik ten Hag has had to rely on Marcus Rashford in the attack at United this season. The England international has been at the top of the Red Devils’ scoring charts since the Dutch manager’s arrival.

The 25-year-old has shouldered the Old Trafford side’s burden up front in the current campaign. Our other forwards have not been able to contribute considerably in the final third.

Therefore, we evidently need to add a potent striker to our ranks. To that end, it looks like Bayern will pip United to Kolo Muani’s signature in the coming months.
