Manchester United are ‘willing’ to offer Inter Milan €50 million plus Anthony Martial to acquire the services of Lautaro Martinez, according to Calciomercatoweb (h/t Manchester Evening News).

The Red Devils are looking to get a hold of the Argentina international’s signature ahead of the upcoming transfer window. To that end, the Old Trafford side are open to including the former AS Monaco striker in the deal.

However, the 25-year-old has been a key player for the Nerazzurri over the years. As a result, the Serie A giants are likely to demand more money for the 2022 World Cup winner.

Martinez has been at Inter since the summer of 2018. Over the years, the Argentine has developed into a quality forward and has developed an eye for goal.

Simone Inzaghi has Romelu Lukaku at his disposal as well. But the Belgian is on loan at the Italian outfit from Chelsea. The Nerazzurri also have Edin Dzeko, but the 37-year-old is not getting any younger.

As for Martial, he signed for United in the summer of 2015 from AS Monaco. However, the 27-year-old has been unable to fulfil his potential at the Old Trafford side over the years.

In the current campaign, the French national has been on the sidelines a lot due to multiple fitness issues. As a result, Erik ten Hag has been unable to count on him.

In January, the Red Devils got Wout Weghorst on loan from Burnley until the end of the season. The Holland international has been underwhelming during his time at the Manchester-based club.

Therefore, United could do with someone like Martinez in their ranks. But will Inter want an injury-prone Martial in a potential offer for their talisman? Only time will tell.
