Manchester United ‘will meet’ the entourage of Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch

Bayern Munich star Ryan Gravenberch is attracting interest from Manchester United, who ‘will meet’ with the midfielder’s camp, according to Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna on Twitter (h/t Express).

In the summer of 2022, the Red Devils were eyeing a move for the 20-year-old. However, the Holland international ended up signing for the Bavarians instead.

But things have not gone smoothly for Gravenberch at the Allianz Arena side. The midfielder has found game time hard to come by. As a result, he is open to parting ways with the Bundesliga giants.

United are looking to add numbers to their engine room. To that end, the Old Trafford side have the 20-year-old on their radar and are going to hold talks with the player’s representatives. Apart from the Manchester-based club, Premier League rivals Liverpool also have him on their radar.

Erik ten Hag previously managed the Holland international during their days together at Ajax. The Dutch manager has a good relationship with the youngster.

Gravenberch made his way through the youth ranks at the Amsterdam-based club and was impressive last season. But the 20-year-old has been unable to showcase his talent at Bayern, having started just once in the Bundesliga.

United ended up signing Casemiro and Christian Eriksen last summer to add reinforcements to the engine room. The two have been ever-present in Ten Hag’s plans at the Manchester-based club.

But the Red Devils had to sign Marcel Sabitzer on loan in January to add depth to the middle of the park. Apart from the Austrian, the gaffer has Fred, Scott McTominay and Donny van de Beek at his disposal. But the three have been inconsistent over the years.

Therefore, we could evidently do with some fresh blood in the midfield. Gravenberch is a promising talent. The Holland international is familiar with Ten Hag’s style of play. But it remains to be seen whether the 20-year-old will leave the Bundesliga giants in the coming months.
