Crystal Palace to target Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka next summer
Premier League rivals Crystal Palace will target Manchester United star Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the upcoming transfer window, according to The Sun.
The Eagles are prepared to spend big next summer to bolster their squad. At the moment, the Selhurst Park side are drawing up a list of players to pursue in the coming months.
Palace will look to add fresh faces along their entire backline. To that end, one of the stars on the South London club’s radar is their former right-back and academy product.
Wan-Bissaka joined the Red Devils in the summer of 2019 from the Eagles. The English national was a pivotal player under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the Old Trafford side.
However, since the Norwegia head coach’s departure, the 25-year-old has found game time hard to come by. With the arrival of Erik ten Hag, the right-back has fallen down in the pecking order.
In the current campaign, the Dutch manager has relied on Diogo Dalot on the right-hand side of the defence. Ole’s departure has led to the Portugal international’s influence in the team growing.
The 23-year-old started in the majority of the fixtures at United this season prior to the 2022 World Cup. However, the former FC Porto star’s absence after the tournament in Qatar gave Wan-Bissaka a chance to revive his reputation.
The English national has done exactly that in the last few weeks. With some impressive displays in recent months, the right-back has forced his way back into the gaffer’s plans. But the defender is still the second choice at the Old Trafford side.

Therefore, the 25-year-old opting to leave for pastures new next summer would not be surprising. However, it remains to be seen whether Palace will meet the demands the Red Devils will set for the Eagles’ academy graduate.
