Bayern Munich are considering making a move for Manchester United targets Harry Kane, Victor Osimhen or Randal Kolo Muani in the upcoming transfer window.
The Bavarians are on the lookout for reinforcements up top, having lost Rober Lewandowski last summer. In the current campaign, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has been the one leading the Bundesliga giants’ front line.
Speaking to Sky Deutschland (h/t Manchester Evening News), Bayern’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic confirmed that the Allianz Arena side would be looking for a number nine next summer. To that end, the Bavarians are eyeing some of the names on the Red Devils’ radar.
“In all likelihood, there will be a new striker. Whether it’s Harry Kane, Victor Osimhen or Randal Kolo Muani, the coming weeks will show.”
Tottenham’s Kane is the Old Trafford side’s main priority ahead of the upcoming transfer window. However, with Daniel Levy reluctant to sell the 29-year-old England international, the Manchester-based club have other alternative options on their list.
Napoli striker Osimhen has been in fine form for Napoli this season. The Nigerian is leading the Italian outfit’s title charge in Serie A. Luciano Spalletti’s team have also done well in the Champions League, with the 24-year-old putting in some impressive displays.
As for Kolo Muani, the France international is enjoying his breakout campaign at Eintracht Frankfurt. The 24-year-old has made 37 appearances in all competitions for Die Adler, scoring 19 goals and providing 14 assists.
Bayern lost Lewandowski to Barcelona last summer. The Bundesliga giants signed Sadio Mane and Mathys Tel to bolster their forward line last summer. However, the Poland international’s void has seemingly remained.
At United, Erik ten Hag does not have a lot of options to choose from in the number nine position. Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst are the only two natural strikers at the gaffer’s disposal. Unfortunately, both of them have been underwhelming.

Therefore, we evidently need to add a quality centre-forward to our team. Kane looks like the best option, considering his experience in the Premier League. However, Bayern’s interest in our three targets has added significant competition to the race.
