Erik ten Hag losing patience with Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is ‘becoming increasingly impatient’ with Jadon Sancho ahead of the upcoming transfer window, according to the Manchester Evening News.
Next summer, the Dutch manager is planning a clearout and wants the Red Devils to be more ruthless with their outgoings. In the coming months, more players are expected to be sold than bought.
Harry Maguire and Anthony Martial are the two established stars who will be made available at the end of the season. Brandon Williams, Alex Telles and Eric Bailly are also expected to part ways with the Old Trafford side.
Man United will also listen to offers for Dean Henderson, who is on loan at Nottingham Forest. But while Newcastle United are interested in Scott McTominay, the Red Devils have doubts regarding his sale.
However, Sancho’s name coming up is a surprise. In recent weeks, the gaffer has put faith in the England international. The Dutch manager has also changed the 23-year-old’s position to accommodate him in the team.
Even though the forward has been decent, it seems the former Ajax head coach expects much more from him. And rightfully so, considering the hype around the winger’s arrival to the Old Trafford side.
Sancho made his way back to England in the summer of 2021. His performances at Borussia Dortmund compelled Man United to acquire the services of the former Manchester City star.
Unfortunately, the 23-year-old’s debut campaign was underwhelming. Initially, Ten Hag’s arrival saw him put in some encouraging performances. But the forward soon struggled to make an impact once again.
