Serie A giants Juventus are ‘preparing for life without’ Dusan Vlahovic, who is attracting interest from Manchester United, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t The Sun).

The Serbia international is amongst the alternative targets for the Red Devils to bolster their attack in the upcoming transfer window. Erik ten Hag is keen on reinforcing the front line.

To that end, the 23-year-old is seemingly expected to leave

the Old Lady. The Bianconeri have already identified a replacement for the striker. To that end, the Italian outfit are plotting moves for West Ham United’s Gianluca Scamacca and Galatasaray forward Nicolo Zaniolo.

Vlahovic moved to Juventus in the winter window of 2022 from Fiorentina. However, the Serbian has been unable to replicate the form he showed in Florence at the Turin-based club.

The 23-year-old has had a mixed spell at the Old Lady so far. In the current campaign, the striker has made 28 appearances in all competitions for the Bianconeri, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists.

However, Vlahovic recently shone for his national side in the Euro 2024 qualifiers. He found the back of the net once against Lithuania and scored a brace in Serbia’s 2-0 win over Montenegro.

For now, United lack depth in the number nine position with Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst the only two options at Ten Hag’s disposal. However, the two leave a lot to be desired in the attacking third.

Vlahovic has been underwhelming as of late. However, the Red Devils are right to have the 23-year-old in their list of potential targets. It remains to be seen who the Old Trafford side will be able to get in the upcoming transfer window.

In the scenario where the Serbian is the one being pursued by the club, it would evidently not be a bad thing to have him in our ranks. The striker is still young and showed a lot of potential during his stint at Fiorentina.
