PSG to hold talks with Manchester United target and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen
Luis Campos, the football advisor at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), has ‘arranged a meeting’ with Manchester United target and Napoli star Victor Osimhen, according to Foot Mercato (h/t The Sun).
A number of top teams are interested in the Nigeria international. Along with the Red Devils, Premier League rivals Chelsea are also in the race for the 24-year-old’s signature.
However, it is the Old Trafford side who are currently leading the pursuit for the striker. But Napoli want £130 million to part ways with him.
Unfortunately, the Parisians are looking to leapfrog the competition to acquire Osimhen’s services. To that end, the Ligue 1 outfit are set to hold talks with the forward’s representatives, with discussions around the structure of a potential deal next summer already ongoing.
PSG have an abundance of talent up front. Christophe Galtier has the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Neymar at his disposal. However, the 2022 World Cup-winning Argentine’s current contract expires at the end of the season.
On the other hand, the Brazilian could leave as well. The French champions have Hugo Ekitike in their ranks as the only established forward on the bench.
Campos was the sporting director at LOSC Lille when the Ligue 1 outfit signed Osimhen in the summer of 2019. Subsequently, Napoli came calling for the Nigerian’s signature after his debut campaign with Les Dogues.
At the moment, United have Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst as the only natural strikers in the squad. However, while the former AS Monaco star has been on the sidelines for most of the season, the Holland international has left a lot to be desired in front of goal.

Osimhen has taken his game to the next level this term and has shown a keen eye for finding the back of the net. Hopefully, the Red Devils will be able to fend off competition from the likes of PSG to acquire the 24-year-old’s services.
