Manchester United interested in paying release clause of Ousmane Dembele
Manchester United is reportedly interested in signing Barcelona’s talented winger, Ousmane Dembele, this summer. According to Fichajes, United are ready to trigger the Frenchman’s release clause of €50m to add him to their squad.
This move comes as no surprise since the Red Devils are always looking to bolster their attacking prowess. Despite his injury-prone past, Dembele has showcased his potential this season, attracting the interest of several European giants.
With his contract ending in the summer of 2024, Barcelona is reportedly keen on selling him to recuperate their financial losses. This has presented Manchester United with an excellent opportunity to sign the winger.
Aside from his potential and market value, Dembele’s style of play suits United’s tactics. With Erik Ten Hag as the current manager, United’s play is focused on attacking football, which fits perfectly with Dembele’s skills. The Frenchman can play on both flanks, which is essential since United’s wingers other than Rashford have been inconsistent in recent seasons.
Other top clubs, including Chelsea, Inter Milan, Juventus Turin, and Newcastle United, have also shown interest in signing Dembele in the upcoming transfer window. However, Manchester United seems to be the best-positioned club to secure his signature.
Dembele’s signing would be a significant boost to United’s attacking options. The Frenchman’s addition would bring some much-needed competition and depth to United’s attack. He’d be an amazing signing.
