Chelsea to offer Christian Pulisic to Napoli for Manchester United target Victor Osimhen
Premier League rivals Chelsea could offer Christian Pulisic to Napoli in a player plus cash deal for Manchester United target Victor Osimhen, according to Calciomercato (h/t The Sun).
The Nigeria international has attracted interest from clubs in the English top flight. Apart from the Red Devils, Graham Potter’s team are also eyeing the striker.
To beat the likes of the Old Trafford side in the race for the 24-year-old, the Blues are looking to use their American forward to try and get a deal over the line.
Chelsea have spent big money on their front line in the last two transfer windows. Todd Boehly is willing to spend big again next summer.
The Stamford Bridge side bolstered their attack with the likes of Raheem Sterling and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Subsequently, in January, they signed Mykhaylo Mudryk and Noni Madueke and got Joao Felix on loan. As a result, Pulisic has found game time hard to come by.
Osimhen made his way to Napoli in the summer of 2020 from LOSC Lille. After a couple of decent campaigns, the Nigerian has taken his game to the next level this season.
Luciano Spalletti’s team are on course to win the league title for the first time in over 30 years. The Partenopei have also made it to the quarter-finals of the Champions League. The 24-year-old striker has found the back of the net 25 times in 29 appearances in all competitions for the Italians in the current campaign.
Erik ten Hag has had to rely on Marcus Rashford since his arrival. The 25-year-old is the only forward who has contributed to a considerable amount of goals for United this term.
