Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are eyeing Inter Milan star Lautaro Martinez amidst interest from Manchester United, according to Tuttosport via FCInterNews and SempreInter (h/t Manchester Evening News).

There is mounting speculation regarding the 25-year-old’s future with the Nerazzurri. To that end, the Parisians and the Red Devils have the striker international on their radar.

However, at the moment, Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane is the Old Trafford side’s priority target. But it seems unlikely that we will get our hands on either the Spurs attacker or the Argentina international.

Christophe Galtier currently has Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar to call upon. The trio have been in fine form this season. However, the Parc des Princes side have once again failed to progress from the round of 16 in the Champions League.

PSG seem to lack options in the forward line. They parted ways with Pablo Sarabia in January. Now, the Parisians have only one established attacker on the bench in Hugo Ekitike.

As for United, we have had to rely on Marcus Rashford to find the back of the net in the current campaign. The 25-year-old is the Red Devils’ leading goalscorer this term and has shouldered the burden of our attack.

Erik ten Hag only has only two natural number nines in Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst at his disposal. Unfortunately, the French national has been injury prone this season, while the Burnley loanee has left a lot to be desired in front of goal.

Martinez made his way to Inter in the summer of 2018. After taking a year to settle in, the Argentine has been prolific for the Serie A giants. He also won the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The 25-year-old has an eye for goal. In the current campaign, he has found the back of the net 17 times in 36 appearances in all competitions. But it remains to be seen whether United will pursue and beat PSG to the striker’s signature.
