Jarrad Branthwaite will ‘consider’ permanent PSV Eindhoven move amidst Manchester United interest
Everton loanee Jarrad Branthwaite has admitted that he will ‘consider’ a permanent transfer to PSV Eindhoven amidst interest from Manchester United.
The Red Devils, along with Premier League rivals Liverpool are both set to send scouts to the Netherlands to keep an eye on the 20-year-old. In the summer of 2022, the centre-back joined the Red and Whites on a temporary move.
However, speaking to ESPN (h/t Mirror), when asked whether he would be interested in staying at the Eredivisie outfit next season, Branthwaite revealed that he would think about the prospect.
“It’s something I will take into consideration, definitely. I’m enjoying my time here, playing games. It’s been good this second half of the season. It’s something we can look for in the future but I’m just focusing on playing as many games as I can.”
PSV are also keen on keeping a hold of the 20-year-old. The Red and Whites submitted two bids in the recent transfer window, rising to £15 million. However, Everton rejected the proposals.
Roma are also eyeing the young centre-back. Jose Mourinho likes the defender. The Serie A giants even enquired about the defender’s situation.
Branthwaite made his way to the Merseyside outfit in January 2020 from boyhood club Carlisle United. However, the youngster found game time hard to come by at the Goodison Park side and joined PSV last summer on loan, where the English national has been enjoying regular minutes.

United have a lot of depth in the centre-back area. Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez have formed a solid partnership in our backline.
Apart from the France and Argentina internationals, Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof can also be called upon. However, the two have been left on the bench on most occasions under Erik ten Hag.

It would not come as a surprise if our captain opted to leave the Red Devils next summer for more game time. In that case, a young prospect like Branthwaite is someone who could be brought in to bolster the defensive ranks.
