Premier League rivals Chelsea ‘will listen to offers’ for Christian Pulisic in the upcoming transfer window amidst links to Manchester United, according to ESPN (h/t Manchester Evening News).

The Blues are willing to part ways with the USMNT star. His current contract at the Stamford Bridge side expires in the summer of 2024. The West London-based club have no intentions of offering the former Borussia Dortmund star an extension.

In January, Graham Potter’s team were trying to find a new club for the 24-year-old. The Red Devils, along with Newcastle United, were approached about taking the forward away.

Chelsea have signed a number of winger since last summer. Having added Raheem Sterling to the ranks from Manchester City, the Blues bought Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke last month, among a host of other signings.

Pulisic has been at Chelsea since the summer of 2019. However, the USMNT star has failed to establish himself in the Stamford Bridge side’s starting lineup over the years.

Fitness issues have not helped the forward’s cause either. The 24-year-old is currently sidelined with a knee injury. In the current campaign, he has started in just six English top-flight matches for the Blues.

Man United ended up signing Wout Weghorst in the previous transfer window to bolster the forward line. The Holland international joined the Red Devils on loan from Burnley for the rest of the season.

Marcus Rashford has been our talisman under Erik ten Hag, featuring on the left wing as well as down the middle. The 25-year-old has shouldered the burden of the Old Trafford side’s attack.

However, Man United cannot just rely on the England international to find the back of the net consistently. Therefore, we evidently need a quality striker. Also, with Alejandro Garnacho breaking through, the Red Devils have adequate cover for the left-hand side of the attack. So a move for Pulisic does not seem necessary.
