Harry Kane prefers Tottenham Hotspur stay amidst Manchester United interest

Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane prefers to stay at the North London side for the foreseeable future amidst interest from Manchester United, according to Sky Sports (h/t Metro).

Spurs ‘will not sell’ the 29-year-old to a Premier League rival either in the upcoming transfer window. Antonio Conte’s team are looking to secure the England international’s future in N17.

Kane will enter the final year of his current contract at Tottenham next season. As a result, there is set to be speculation regarding the striker’s future, with the Red Devils looking to acquire his services.

However, if Spurs showcase their ambition to challenge for major titles in the coming future, the 29-year-old would extend his stay. Even if the North London side are not able to come to terms with the forward, Daniel Levy would be an ‘obstructive negotiator’.

A new centre forward is a top priority for United next summer. The Red Devils view the England international as a ‘guarantee of goals’. However, the club will not enter a long battle with the North London side.

As a result, the Old Trafford side have other options on their radar. Younger options like Napoli’s Victor Osimhen are also being eyed by us.

Kane made his way through the youth ranks at Tottenham. Subsequently, in the 2014/15 season, the 29-year-old established himself as Spurs’ talisman and has not looked back since. However, even though the England international has been world-class at the North London side, trophies have eluded him.

Erik ten Hag currently has Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst at his disposal. However, the Dutch manager has turned the situation around at United to a considerable effect.

The Red Devils have the opportunity to lift their first piece of silverware in five years with the Carabao Cup final later this month. However, it remains to be seen whether Kane will opt to make himself a part of the project at the Old Trafford side.
