Emmanuel Petit believes Manchester United the only club for Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane in England

Former Arsenal star Emmanuel Petit believes that Manchester United are the only option for Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane if he wants a move in the summer.

The Red Devils have been linked with the 29-year-old in recent weeks. Erik ten Hag is looking to bolster the forward line with a new striker in the upcoming transfer window.

Kane wanted to leave Spurs in the summer of 2021, with Manchester City pursuing him. However, the England international ended up staying at the North London side. However, the striker could decide to at the end of the season.

Speaking to Betway (h/t Manchester Evening News), Petit, who spent time at Chelsea as well, is of the opinion that apart from United, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are the clubs abroad who can afford the 29-year-old.

“It’s PSG and Bayern Munich and in the Premier League, there’s only one club for me and it’s Manchester United.”

Kane made his way through the youth ranks at Tottenham. Subsequently, he spent a few seasons out on loan before making a mark at the North London side in the 2014/15 campaign.

Since then, the 29-year-old has not looked back, developing into a world-class forward. The England international has been Spurs’ talisman year after year.

Even this season, Kane is the one shouldering Tottenham’s attacking burden. The 29-year-old is the only forward who has been performing consistently for Antonio Conte in the current campaign.

At United, Ten Hag evidently needs an out-and-out quality goalscorer. Anthony Martial has been injury prone, while Wout Weghorst is at the club on loan from Burnley until the end of the season.

PSG have a stacked front line at the moment. On the other hand, Bayern could seemingly do with a striker after Robert Lewandowski’s departure. But hopefully, the advent of staying in England and beating Alan Shearer’s goalscoring record will entice Kane as he decides his future.
