Alejandro Garnacho has agreed a new contract until 2028 with Manchester United
Manchester United have ‘practically’ struck a deal with Alejandro Garnacho over a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2028, according to Spanish outlet AS (h/t Manchester Evening News).
The Red Devils have agreed a new long-term deal with the Argentine national. It is now only a matter of days before the 18-year-old puts pen to paper. The image rights are the only thing that needs to be thrashed out.
Garnacho signed for the Old Trafford side in the summer of 2020 from Atletico Madrid. Over the years, the 18-year-old turned many heads with his performances in the Manchester-based club’s youth sides.
In the current campaign, the Argentine national has been given the opportunity to showcase his talent. Initially, the youngster found it hard under Erik ten Hag, with the manager not trusting him.
The forward was then given his full debut in the Europa League against Sheriff Tiraspol in the group stages at home. The game ended in a 3-0 victory for us.
Grancaho then scored his first goal for United against Real Sociedad in the UEL at Reale Arena. His lone strike handed the Red Devils a 1-0 win.
The Argentine national then put in some clutch performances for the Red Devils. After providing two assists in the Carabao Cup against Aston Villa, the forward scored
a stoppage-time winner at Craven Cottage to hand us a 2-1 victory. In the Manchester derby, the 18-year-old came off the bench to good effect. He brought energy to our forward line and was a threat. The youngster set up Marcus Rashford as he found the back of the net to make a comeback over Pep Guardiola’s team.
