Manchester United an option for Antoine Griezmann who could leave Atletico Madrid if Diego Simeone departs
Antoine Griezmann could leave Atletico Madrid if Diego Simeone departs, with Manchester United a possible destination for the France international, according to eldigital.com (h/t CalcioMercato).
Apart from the Red Devils, Premier League rivals Chelsea are also a possible destination for the forward. European giants Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are in the mix as well.
Los Rojiblancos would want to get somewhere around €20 million for the 31-year-old. He recently rejoined the Spanish outfit from Barcelona.
Griezmann has struggled to find his best form in recent years. With the Blaugrana, the 31-year-old failed to make a considerable impact. In the current campaign as well for Atletico, the forward has mostly been underwhelming.
However, the France international shone in the 2022 World Cup. He was one of the best players for Didier Deschamps’ team in Qatar. Les Bleus made it to the final but lost to Argentina on penalties.
Since then, Griezmann has been firing for Los Rojiblancos. However, the struggles that Simeone’s team faced in the first half of the campaign mean that they are out of the Champions League and are fighting to get into the top four.

If the Argentine head coach were to leave, would the 31-year-old follow suit? Only time will tell. But the France international is a quality star that many teams could do with.
At United, Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst are the only two natural strikers at Erik ten Hag’s disposal. However, the Holland international is on loan at the club only until the end of the season.
