Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford nominated for Premier League POTM and GOTM for January
Marcus Rashford has been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month as well as the Goal of the Month honours for his performances at Manchester United in January, via Manchester Evening News.
The 25-year-old has been in fine form for the Red Devils since returning from the 2022 World Cup. He has now scored 10 goals in the last 10 fixtures for the Old Trafford side.
United have played four matches in the English top flight in January 2023. The England international found the back of the net against Bournemouth, Manchester City and Arsenal. He was unable to get on the score sheet in the 1-1 draw to Crystal Palace.
Rashford’s strike against the Gunners in the 3-2 loss has been nominated for th GOTM award. The 25-year-old scored a brilliant goal from long-range to beat Aaron Ramsdale.
The England international struggled to make an impact last season. However, the arrival of Erik ten Hag has led to the forward’s resurgence in a red shirt.
In the current campaign, Rashford has made 29 appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils. He is the club’s leading goalscorer this term, having found the back of the net 18 times.
