Juventus and Real Madrid keeping an eye on Manchester United youngster Alejandro Garnacho
Manchester United star Alejandro Garnacho is being eyed by European giants Juventus and Real Madrid, according to The Independent (h/t Manchester Evening News).
The Old Lady are currently ‘looking’ at acquiring the 18-year-old’s services. On the other hand, Los Blancos are ‘monitoring’ the Argentine national at the moment.
Garnacho’s current contract with the Red Devils expires in the summer of 2024. However, the Old Trafford side do have the option to extend his deal by a further season.
The youngster has broken onto the scene in the current campaign. He has taken the fanbase by storm with clutch performances.
This season, the Argentine has played 15 times in all competitions for the Red Devils. He has found the back of the net twice and has provided five assists.
Initially, the 18-year-old found it hard to get into Erik ten hag’s plans. However, in recent weeks, the forward has made a big enough impact and has made his way into the Dutch manager’s thinking.
First, Garnacho scored his first goal for United in the Europa League group stage fixture against Real Sociedad at home. Then, the youngster made a difference coming off from the bench against Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup, assisting two goals in the 4-2 win.
The Argentine further built up his reputation when he scored a stoppage-time winner against Fulham at Craven Cottage in the 2-1 victory. Recently, in the Manchester derby, the 18-year-old brought energy to the right-wing set up Marcus Rashford’s winner in the 2-1 comeback win over Pep Guardiola’s team.
