“It’s an unbelievable feeling. I’ve been at this club all my life, it’s all led to tonight. To have my family here watching me, surrounding me, it’s just amazing. All my immediate family were here, I think bringing anyone else would be too much!”

The England U18 international lasted an hour before being replaced by Casemiro. He had a decent game and looked lively in certain moments.

Having come up through the youth ranks at United, the 17-year-old has been one of the best prospects in our youth sides. The youngster could have a bright future at the Old Trafford side if he is developed properly.

There have been some decent academy stars who have broken into the first-team setup in recent times. During pre-season, the likes of Zidane Iqbal and Charlie Savage caught a lot of people’s attention.

Alejandro Garnacho has also made an impact this season. The Argentine has come in clutch on several occasions in the current campaign for United.

Mainoo also has Marcus Rashford to look up to. The 25-year-old has been in fine form this term. He is currently the clubs leading goalscorer in the current campaign.
