Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, Red Bull Salzburg youngster Benjamin Sesko and Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane are on the summer shortlist of Manchester United, according to ESPN (h/t Mirror).

The Red Devils will look at signing any of the three players in the summer of 2023 to bolster the forward line. In January, the Old Trafford side are looking to bring in a short-term option on loan.

Then, in the next transfer window, United are hopeful of spending big in order to reinforce the attack with a long-term replacement. A new striker is a priority for the club in the summer.

Thus, the Nigerian and the Slovenia internationals are being eyed by the Red Devils. The 24-year-old is thriving in Italy in the current campaign. He is tied down at the Serie A outfit until 2025 (transfermarkt). On the other hand, the 19-year-old is set to join RB Leipzig in June.

As for the Tottenham Hotspur star, his current contract with Spurs is set to expire in around 18 months’ time. The 29-year-old has spent the majority of his career in North London but is yet to get his hands on any sort of silverware.

Tottenham are struggling defensively this season under Antonio Conte. Kane has been one of their best players in the current campaign, with other forwards failing to support the England international.

United lost Cristiano Ronaldo just before the start of the 2022 World Cup. The 37-year-old’s departure has left us with only one natural striker in Anthony Martial. Marcus Rashford has also been deployed up front on several occasions.

Thus, it is evidently important that we add depth to the attack. Sesko is still young and has a lot to do in the game. But Osimhen is thriving at Napoli. However, the Italian side will seemingly want an enormous sum for him.

Kane has vast Premier League experience. The 29-year-old has captained England in the last three major tournaments. Thus, the Tottenham star looks like the best bet. However, it remains to be seen whether the Red Devils will be able to sign either of the three players next summer.
