Ajax forward Mohammed Kudus “would love” the opportunity to play for Manchester United
Ghana international and Ajax Amsterdam star Mohammed Kudus has been tipped to be keen on getting the opportunity to play for Manchester United. The 22-year-old “would love” to make a move to the Theatre of Dreams.
The forward has been linked with a move to the Red Devils. He has been in fine form for the Eredivisie outfit this season and caught a lot of people’s eyes at the 2022 World Cup.
Speaking to Give Me Sport (h/t Manchester Evening News), journalist Pete O’Rourke believes Kudus would not want to pass up on the chance to don the famous red shirt of United.
“Yeah, I think a club like Manchester United comes calling for you, you’re going to have to be interested in it. I’m sure Kudus would love that opportunity to join one of the world’s biggest clubs, he wants to play on the biggest stage possible.”
The Ghanaian joined Ajax in the summer of 2020. In his first two seasons at the Amsterdam-based club under Erik ten Hag, the youngster was mostly a bit-part player.
However, in the current campaign, the 22-year-old has stepped up to the plate. He has led the Eredivisie outfit’s front line admirably.
In 21 appearances in all competitions this term at Ajax, Kudus has found the back of the net 10 times. He was impressive for Alfred Schreuder’s team in the Champions League as well.
In Qatar, the 22-year-old was one of his nation’s best players. The Ghanaian started in every group-stage fixture at the 2022 World Cup, scoring twice against South Korea. However, the Black stars were unable to qualify for the knockout rounds.
United’s attack lost Cristiano Ronaldo during the mid-season break. As a result, we have lost depth up top. Kudus is someone who has previously played under Ten Hag.
