PSG ‘willing’ to offer Marcus Rashford €10 million a year to entice him away from Manchester United
Paris Saint Germain (PSG) are ‘willing’ to offer Manchester United star Marcus Rashford €10 million a year to entice him away from the Red Devils, according to Calciomercatoweb (h/t Manchester Evening News).
The 25-year-old’s contract was set to expire at the end of the season. However, the Old Trafford side triggered the one-year extension in the England international’s deal.
Rashford is keen on staying at the Manchester-based club. He has been one of our best players in the current campaign. But a massive offer could possibly sway the forward’s mind.
The 25-year-old came up through United’s youth ranks and broke out in the 2016/17 campaign. Since then, he has developed into a quality player at the club. Unfortunately, the England international looked devoid of confidence last season.
After the Euro 2020 final with the Three Lions, Rashford did not look the same when he returned to Manchester. The 25-year-old was unable to make an impact when he featured in the previous campaign.
Thankfully, the England international has seemingly found his feet under Ten Hag. The Old Trafford side’s academy graduate has led the line for the Dutch manager on several occasions.
Anthony Martial has had issues with injuries this season. On the other hand, Cristiano Ronaldo was not fancied by Ten Hag in the starting lineup before his subsequent exit from the club.
As a result, Rashford has shouldered the responsibility of playing in the number nine position. The England international has scored 11 goals in 22 appearances in all competitions in the current campaign.
