Newcastle United have recalled Martin Dubravka from his loan at Manchester United
According to a statement released by Manchester United, Newcastle United have recalled their goalie Martin Dubravka from his season-long loan spell at Manchester United.
Dubravka joined the Red Devils to be an understudy to David de Gea. However, he has not really gotten an opportunity to show his quality and it looks like the Magpies have had enough.
Newcastle United might not have liked the fact that their shot-stopper was warming the benches at Old Trafford. They have now taken a call to recall him back to their club.
This leaves Man United with just David de Gea and Tom Heaton as their options in goal. It remains to be seen if they try and sign another player for that position.
David de Gea without an iota of doubt continues to be the most important player in the Man United squad. The Spanish goalie is having yet another good season at the club.
Ten Hag might choose to go with just these two shot-stoppers for the rest of the season and turn to the academy if the need arises. However, it is a risk that they will be taking.
Man United need to factor in the fact that they have Dean Henderson out on loan at Nottingham Forest. It does not make sense for them to sign yet another goalie on a permanent deal.
The Red Devils could look to sign yet another goalie on a loan deal until the end of the season. It remains to be seen if they can find someone who suits their needs.

Dubravka’s time at Man United has been rather neutral. He never really got a chance to showcase his talent and we really cannot judge him without that.
