Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has heaped praise on Manchester United this season

According to Manchester Evening News Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has heaped praise on Manchester United for the season they have had so far and has called it ‘exceptional’.

Klopp was speaking about the increased level of competition in the Premier League for the top four places which results in UEFA Champions League qualification and believes it is a tough race every year for the top teams.

Adding Newcastle United and Arsenal also to the mix, in addition to Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City, Klopp believes that all of the above-mentioned teams are exceptional which creates really tough work to sail through into the four.

“Credit to us if you want because it was always tricky but, of course, we all knew that Newcastle would be a massive contender from now on and it’s clear with Man United and Arsenal playing an exceptional season, all respect for that.”

After Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola claimed that he believes United are coming back, his fierce rival Klopp is advertising a similar thought.

This goes on to show the work Erik ten Hag has put in just six months of being the gaffer and how teams, who in the previous seasons were taking United as a banter club, are now seeing them as serious contenders.

It is not even the rivals fault for making fun of the manner in which the club held its operations since Sir Alex Ferguson retired as manager of Manchester United.

The entire mess that has been created was a result of our wrongdoings in addition to an incompetent board. Appointing Ten Hag as the manager after a failed spell with interim manager Ralf Rangnick is one of the few good decisions the board has taken in recent years.

Coming off one of the worst seasons in the club’s history and adding to that, the disastrous start with defeats to Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford, no one would have predicted that with 15 games down in the season, we would be one point off the top four with a game in hand.

Ten Hag’s work is really starting to take effect and everyone is able to see the visible results of it. Top Four qualification is a real possibility now for us and the board needs to make the manager in the January transfer window to help us solidify our stake.

The progress is clear for all to see and we would have to be patient with the manager as it would take at least a full season for us to be able to challenge for major trophies.
