Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who seems to be out of favour at the club, is attracting interest from Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers (Wolves), according to talkSPORT on Twitter (h/t Manchester Evening News).

The Red Devils are willing to part ways with the England U21 international. However, the Old Trafford side will want to bring in a replacement first.

Julen Lopetegui’s team are eyeing the 25-year-old’s signature. He has had a tough time at the Manchester-based club since the departure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer from the dugout.

Wan-Bissaka signed for United in the summer of 2019 from Crystal Palace. The 25-year-old enjoyed regular first-team action for a considerable period.

However, with the arrival of Ralf Rangnick, the England U21 international lost his place to Diogo Dalot. The 23-year-old was given a more prominent role under the former interim head coach.

Under Ole, the Portugal international hardly got an opportunity in the team. He signed for the Red Devils in the summer of 2018 for FC Porto but remained a bit-part player under the Norwegian manager.

However, Dalot’s fortunes have changed over the last few months. Now, the 23-year-old is the undisputed starter at the Old Trafford side. Erik ten Hag has also heavily relied on the Portuguese star.

But we seemingly lack a backup for the former Porto star. The Dutch manager has Wan-Bissaka at his disposal. However, the 25-year-old has only played four minutes of competitive football in the current campaign.

Therefore, it is evident that the former Palace star is not in Ten Hag’s plans. But Dalot cannot be expected to start every game for United for the rest of the season. Thus, it would be wise for us to bring in a backup before getting rid of the England U21 international.
