Juventus eye swap deal with Atletico Madrid for Joao Felix amidst Manchester United links
Serie A giants Juventus are interested in a swap deal with Atletico Madrid for Joao Felix amidst links to Manchester United, according to CalcioMercato (h/t Mirror).
Los Rojiblancos are looking to part ways with the 23-year-old. And the Old Lady are ‘hoping’ to offer Dusan Vlahovic to the La Liga outfit for the Portugal international’s signature. The Serbia international has only recently signed for the Italian giants.
Felix signed for Atletico in the summer of 2019 from SL Benfica. However, he is not getting along well with manager Diego Simeone at the Spanish capital.
As a result, the Red Devils are eyeing the 23-year-old. Premier League clubs Chelsea, Newcastle United and Aston Villa have also been associated with the forward’s signature.
The Portugal international has fallen out of favour at the Madrid-based club. He has hardly seen any first-team action. However, the youngster impressed with his national side in Qatar.
Felix was a pivotal player for Fernando Santos at the 2022 World Cup. Unfortunately, Portugal crashed out of the prestigious competition after Morocco beat them 1-0 in the quarter-finals.
Juventus have not had the best of seasons under Massimiliano Allegri. The Binconeri are currently eighth in the Serie A table. Vlahovic has had a mixed time in Turin since signing for the Old Lady from Fiorentina in January 2022.
As for United, we recently lost Cristiano Ronaldo. The 37-year-old left the club mid-way through the season after his controversial interview with Piers Morgan. As a result, Erik ten Hag has been left with only one natural striker in Anthony Martial.

Thus, it is seemingly essential for the Old Trafford side to reinforce the front line in the upcoming transfer window. But it would be wise for the Red Devils to pursue other options. Felix has not been clinical enough during his time in Spain.
